ARTIFACT:
This is a Fantastic circa 1912 Sheriff of Deer Lodge County, Montana badge in gilt brass by Detective Publishing Co., Chicago. The ball-tipped, star-shaped badge features ornate details and a center disc that reads: "BRUCE N. BRYAN SHERIFF DEER LODGE CO." Sheriff Bryan sadly died on September 21, 1915, drowning in an attempt to save his wife and others.

Circa 1912.
SIZE:
Approximately: 2-3/4" in height x 2-3/8" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gilt Brass with painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical kick pin with tongue-type 'C' catch.
