Description
This is a great Old West circa 1900's Esmeralda County, Nevada Deputy Sheriff 6-point Star Badge by Los Angeles Rubber Stamp Company and has the company's three-line maker mark on back. The county was known for its gold mining, so we'll assume this Deputy Sheriff had his hands full at the start of the 20th Century, especially in the County Seat of Goldfield, or in any of the more than a Dozen old mining communities that are now Ghost Towns: Gold Point, Lida, McLeans, Millers, & Palmetto to name a few.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900s.
SIZE:Approximately: 2-3/16" in height x 1-7/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated nickel with painted lettering, and nickel-plated brass pin & saddle.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical one-piece pin with rectangular saddle.
