This is a Fabulous Early 1940's Gilt & Enameled Sterling Bakersfield California Police Chief Badge by LAS&SCO.

Early 1940s.

Approximately 3" in height x 2-1/4" in width.

Gilt & Enameled Sterling, and hard-fired blue enamel.

Vertical kick type pin with forked locking catch.
