This is an Extremely Rare Early 1930's United States Prison Service Penal Institutions Hat Badge as worn by guards at Alcatraz.

VINTAGE:

Early 1930s.

SIZE:

Approximately: 1-3/4" in height x 2" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

"Blue" 1930s Chrome-plated brass, and brass backings.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing with Two pins.
