This is an Extremely Rare World War II Office of Strategic Services (OSS) Discharge Lapel Pin by A.E. Co. in Mint Condition.
The OSS was the United States' wartime intelligence agency and it operated from June 13, 1942 until September 20, 1945 before it was replaced two years later by the Central Intelligence Agency. The pin is by A. E. Company of Utica, New York.
VINTAGE:
World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 1/2" in diameter
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Enameled, gilt brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop in locking catch.
MARKINGS:"A. E. CO. UTICA N.Y." and PAT number 2066969.
