Beautifully and professionally painted on Masonite board, this is the World War II period Headquarters sign for the Manchester, NH Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol. During WWII the squadron flew out of Grenier Field, which is now Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. The sign reads: "CIVIL AIR PATROL" over the WWII CAP shoulder insignia that sits at center, with "MANCHESTER SQUADRON" below, and "Manchester, New Hampshire" as the bottom line.
Circa World War II.
Approximately 28-1/2"e; in height and 42-1/8" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEJX13 LABJJX6/13
7- (Very Fine-): The sign has some areas of light to medium wear and light discoloration.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
