This is an absolutely wonderful variation of the RAF issued Burmese Blood Chit. It appears to have been made locally in Burma, but might have been made in England, for issue to RAF Flight Personnel.
It is also quite possible that a Chit of this type could have been unofficially issued to members of the AVG's end Squadron, Panda Bears, during their tenure in Burma, but there is no direct record of this.
The condition of this Chit is beautiful, and the striking indigo blue of the Burmese Flag at top really pops. The very large Peacock is another gorgeous graphic detail. It eclipses the size of the Peacock on it's "Little Brother" Chit that we marketed for Mr. Baldwin a couple of years ago. This Chit appears to have been folded in quarters, perhaps once or twice, early on in its existence, and the only negative with regards to condition is the tape residue that must have held this in a scrapbook back in the 1940's.
This is the only example of this type of Burmese Blood Chit that we, or Mr. Baldwin, have seen in our long periods of searching for such artifacts, truly a wonderful addition to any Blood Chit Collection.
