ARTIFACT: This is an extremely rare circa 1958 first issue N.A.S.A. (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) Patrol badge, as used at Goddard Space Flight Center. NASA was established on October 1, 1958, and its "Patrol" was later renamed "Security Force".

VINTAGE: Circa 1958.

SIZE: Approximately 2-9/16" in height and 2-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Two screw posts with disc backings.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a NASA and space collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJJX13 LCFEX7/13 SCFEX5/14

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has very little wear and some minor spots of oxidation.
