ARTIFACT:

This is an Extremely Rare Circa World War I Era Leominster Massachusetts Police Women Badge.

This is a great, historical, Police Badge from the then heavily industrialized city of Leominster Massachusetts. 

Apparently, during the WWI period, when industry was gearing up even more so than usual, the need arose to have a couple of Woman Police Officers (Policewomen) on the Department to handle any unruly Ladies in the city. 

VINTAGE:

Circa World War I.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-5/8" in height x 1-13/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Nickel plated nickel with black painted details.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical safety-style pin.
