Ext Rare Ca 1917 American Protective League Lieutenant Badge Type II

This is an extremely rare World War I circa 1917 APL American Protective League Type II Lieutenant Secret Service Badge by William Barthman of New York City # A-26We have only ever seen a few other APL badges by this maker in the decades.

Circa 1917.

Approximately: 2-1/2" in height x 1-1/2" in width.

Gold wash on brass with hard fired blue enamel details.

Vertical kick pin with forked locking catch.
