This is an Extremely Rare 1960s NASA Manned Spacecraft Center Protective Services Security Chief hat and breast badge set.
VINTAGE:Circa 1960's.
SIZE:Breast badge: About 1-3/4" in width by 3" in height; Hat badge: About 1-13/16" in width by 2-1/4" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Both are gilt brass; the breast badge has enamel and painted accents.
ATTACHMENT:Breast badge: Vertical kick pin with a "drop in" locking catch; Hat badge: Single screw post and one stabilizing pin.
MARKINGS:A. SIMON HOUSTON, TEX. (on reverse of both badges).

CONDITION:9 (Excellent&emdash;Near Mint): Little to no wear to the hat badge; very minor wear to the breast badge: small chip in the enamel and minor wear to the painted lettering.
