Great, early WWII United States Army Air Corps 48th Air Base Christmas menu and group roster from Losey Field, Puerto Rico. The front of the red menu shows an image of Santa and his reindeer flying across the moon and beneath him reads: "CHRISTMAS MENU DECEMBER 25, 1941 48TH AIR BASE GROUP LOSEY FIELD PUERTO RICO". The menu is bound with a faded green silk rope and the reverse shows scrapbook remnants.
Approximately 7" x 5-1/2"
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Cardstock, silk rope, ink, paper
Silk rope tie binding
"TIPOGRAFIA NACIONAL INC."
This is from a USAC collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MCX16 LHEX3/16
7 (Very Fine): The menu shows minor to moderate storage/age wear, the reverse shows heavy wear as it was removed from scrapbook and the silk ribbon has faded with time, all the pages remain intact, overall very fine condition.
GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
