ARTIFACT: This is a circa early World War II shoulder patch for the United Aircraft Institute (UAI) of Dallas, Texas. The primary purpose of the Institution was to train aircraft workers for the aviation industry. The patch is in blue cotton twill and has an embroidered wing at its center bearing the letters UAI.

VINTAGE: Circa early World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 3 in height and 2-13/16 in width.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Cotton twill embroidered in cotton thread, mesh backing.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: None.
