ARTIFACT: This is an early World War II (circa 1941-1942) lapel wing for the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), the volunteer civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force. The center of the wing is enameled in blue with a red three-bladed propeller within a triangle.

VINTAGE: Circa 1941-1942 (early World War II).

SIZE: Approximately 3/8" in height and 1" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Nickel-plated brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Single screw post with disc backing.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a WWII Civil Air Patrol insignia collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX14 LAAEX5/14 SAJJX11/20

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing has some light wear.
