This is an early World War II (circa 1941-1942) lapel wing for the Civil Air Patrol (CAP), the volunteer civilian auxiliary of the United States Air Force. The center of the wing is enameled in blue with a red three-bladed propeller within a triangle.
VINTAGE:Circa 1941-1942 (early World War II).
SIZE:Approximately 3/8" in height and 1" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Single screw post with disc backing.
MARKINGS:None.
