ARTIFACT: This is an early World War I United States Air Service Signal Corps officer collar insignia. The design of the insignia is a winged globe, a torch and two crossed flags. This design was only used from April to July 1918, in between its winged predecessor and the later winged propeller.

VINTAGE: Circa World War I (April - July 1918).

SIZE: 1" height and 1-3/16" width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bronze.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with "C" catch.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MEJX98 LCDEX 6/10

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): Insignia has light wear and a nice warm patina.
