This is an early World War I United States Air Service Signal Corps officer collar insignia. The design of the insignia is a winged globe, a torch and two crossed flags. This design was only used from April to July 1918, in between its winged predecessor and the later winged propeller.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I (April - July 1918).
SIZE:1" height and 1-3/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Bronze.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with "C" catch.

CONDITION:8+ (Excellent): Insignia has light wear and a nice warm patina.
