ARTIFACT: Early Desert Shield or Desert Storm United States Army 6 Color Desert Cammo Battle Dress Uniform Contract # DLA100-81-C-2413 and dated 1981. The uniform jacket features a five button-up front closure and the four flap pockets have a double button closure. A button is also featured on each cuff. There are two tags and an inked number: "15" (see photo). The collar tag reads: "SMALL - REGULAR HEIGHT FROM 67 TO 71 IN., CHEST: FROM 33 TO 37 IN., NSN 8415-01-102-6762 NATO SIZE 7080/8494" and the other tag reads: "COAT, CAMOUFLAGE PATTERN: DESERT DLA 100-81-c-2411 50% NYLON 50% COTTON TENNESSEE APPAREL CORP. 1. Wear as outer garment in desert area. 2. Wear outside of trousers. 3. Adjust closures to ventilate; avoid overheating of body. 4. Sleeves can be rolled up. 5. Coat can be hand laundered. Make sure all soap is thoroughly rinsed out. 6. DO NOT STARCH. DO NOT REMOVE THIS LABEL"
