Early Ca. 1943 Boeing B-29 Super Fortress Lapel Pin in Gilt & Enameled Sterling

Early circa 1943 Boeing B-29 Super Fortress lapel pin in gilt and enameled sterling silver. The example is dated early 1943 as indicated by the aircraft marking. Earlier markings included a red circle within the star, this example shows the red circle removed and the emblem is a blue circle with a white star, soon after the emblem was updated once again by adding a white bar on each side of the circle star. Note on this example, the aircraft markings show no bars, simply the blue circle with white star.

Approximately 1-1/1" in width x 3/4" in height .

Enameled, gilt-sterling.
