Description
This is a circa early 20th century Sudanese belt knife from North Africa. The knife comes in a brightly painted leather scabbard with a large woven wicker belt loop handle. There are small engraved markings along both sides of the blade. The handle of the knife has its own mini-blade at top.
VINTAGE:Circa early 20th century.
SIZE:Knife: approximately 12-1/8" in length and 1-5/8" in width (at widest point); blade only: 7-5/16" in length by 1-1/4" in width (at widest point); scabbard: 7-1/2" in length and 1-1/2" in width (not including loop).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Steel, painted leather, wicker/straw.
ATTACHMENT:Loop handle.
