Description
Beautiful, early 19th century, circa 1820's wooden cased pocket compass in excellent working condition. The compass housing is set inside a wood case and topped with a brass ring. The cover features a brass closure, and two brass hinges. The index pointer shows a fleur-de-lis instead of an "N" for North. The needle is blue and features the letter "S" and "N" painted on each end.
