This is a United States Air Force jacket patch for the 97th Flying Training Squadron. The patch is in vibrant gold-colored twill. It is embroidered with a tiger having aircraft for jaws and a torii above him bearing the word GOMBEY.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1970s.
SIZE:Approximately 4-1/8" in height and 2-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, mesh backing.
ATTACHMENT:None.
MARKINGS:8/82 written on reverse.

CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The patch is in excellent shape except for some writing on reverse.
