ARTIFACT:
This is a United States Air Force jacket patch for the 97th Flying Training Squadron. The patch is in vibrant gold-colored twill. It is embroidered with a tiger having aircraft for jaws and a torii above him bearing the word GOMBEY.
VINTAGE:
Circa early 1970s.
SIZE:
Approximately 4-1/8" in height and 2-15/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Twill embroidered in cotton/silk/polyester threads, mesh backing.
ATTACHMENT:
None.
MARKINGS:
8/82 written on reverse.
