Description
ARTIFACT:
Early 1970's Army Security Agency (ASA) 330th Radio Research Field Station Detachment 8 pocket patch. This example was made in Saigon and shows a white circle with a black number "8" in the center and four frequency waves and reads: "DET" in red embroidered lettering above. The outer edge of the patch reads: "330th RRFS PLEIKU". The 330th was deployed in 1966 and was stationed in Pleiku, Vietnam.
VINTAGE:
Circa early 1970's.
SIZE:
Approximately 3-3/4" in height x 4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Embroidered twill, silk/polyester/cotton threads, cotton backing.
ATTACHMENT:
To be sewn onto uniform.

CONDITION:
8- (Very Fine - Excellent): The patch shows minor to moderate wear, a small spot of soiling (does not detract), colors remain bright, was removed from clothing, overall very fine condition.
