This is an early 1950s United States Navy patch for FAWTULant (Fleet All-Weather Training Unit, Atlantic). FAWTULant was the predecessor of VF(AW)-4 (All-Weather Fighter Squadron 4). The patch has a great design showing an owl with bat wings in a lightning storm and reads FAWTULANT.
VINTAGE:Circa early 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 4" height and 3-5/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Black twill patch embroidered in white, black and gold cotton/silk threads.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): Patch has some moderate wear at edge.
