ARTIFACT:

Great, early (1860's – 70's) Canadian County Constable badge, handmade in silver-plated brass with a 'T' style pin and named to the original owner on the reverse: "James Morrison". The front of the badge reads: "COUNTY CONSTABLE" in hand-stamped letters and black paint with an engraved crown.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1860's – 70's

SIZE:

Approximately 2 ¾" x 2 ¼"

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Silver-plated brass, paint

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical 'T' style pin with scrolling 'c' catch.

MARKINGS:

"James Morrison" in scrolling hand engraved letters on reverse.

CONDITION:

8 (Excellent-): The badge has seen moderate wear, much of the silver plating and painted details remain intact, overall handsome patina.
