ARTIFACT:

This is a beautiful 1905 custom die Alert Hook & Ladder Company presentation fire badge from Westerly, Rhode Island in 10 karat gold (tested: marked SOLID GOLD). The badge reads 25 YEARS SERVICE LIFE MEMBER and WM. O. HILL JUNE 5, 1905 WESTERLY, R.I. on its reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1905.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-3/8" height and 1-1/8" width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

10 karat gold.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with Tiffany-style catch.

MARKINGS:

SOLID GOLD with maker's mark.
