Description
This is a cross for the insurgents of the Greater Poland Uprising of 1918 - 1919 from Poznan. The reverse of the cross reads Powstancowi Broni WDZIECZNA WIELKOPOLSKA 1918/1Residents of Poznan armed themselves after the abdication of Kaiser Wilhelm to protest and take back lands annexed by Prussia / Germany. The cross reads TPW on the front and has a shield bearing the letter P (for Poznan). It is numbered upon reverse and hangs from a rust-colored ribbon.

SIZE:Approximately 4-1/8" in height x 1-7/8" in width.
