ARTIFACT:

This is a cool old circa late 1940s die cast race car by the Hubley Manufacturing Company, a popular maker of mid-century toys, particularly toy automobiles. The car is blue with a red driver and still has its original rubber wheels. The driver is wearing goggles and has small details on his helmet: directly behind him the car's number 5 is displayed.

VINTAGE:

Circa late 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately 7" in length and 2-3/4" in width and 2-1/4" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Painted cast iron, rubber.

ATTACHMENT:

Rotating axles.
