This is a circa 1946-1949 jacket patch for the United States Army Air Forces /Air Force 334th Fighter Squadron, 4th Bomber Group. The patch is in a brilliant gold twill and shows a great red bird at its center with his "dukes" up.
VINTAGE:Circa 1946-1949.
SIZE:Approximately 4-13/16" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Twill embroidered in cotton/silk threads with a mesh backing.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army Air Forces/Air Force collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. CON/LL/LCJJX10 LEGEX3/11 SDJJX2/12
CONDITION:8 (Excellent-): The patch shows light wear with one very small part of the backing missing.
