Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a circa 1943 lapel pin in the shape of a Ford B-24 Liberator bomber aircraft. The Liberator was initially manufactured by Consolidated, but Ford came to their aid and began churning them out at its Willow Run facility in Michigan. The pin has some small details, including FORD engraved on its fuselage.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1943.

SIZE:

Approximately 9/16" in height and 7/8" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gold-plated brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Single screw post with disc backing.

CONDITION:

8 (Excellent-): The pin shows very light wear and tarnish.
