Circa 1917 WWI US Air Service Officer Collar Insignia with Riveted Construction

This is a circa 1917 United States Air Service officer collar insignia in a beautiful riveted construction. The design of the insignia is a small wing at the center of a torch and two crossed flags. This design was the earliest of the three WWI officer collar insignia designs.

Circa 1917 (World War I).

Approximately 1-1/16"e; in height and 1-3/16" in width.

Bronze.

Horizontal pin with C catch, rivets.
