ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1910 unit crest for the 23rd Infantry New York National Guard. The crest is a white cross which at center reads NG VIGILANTIA NY 23 and there is a pendant shield beneath.

VINTAGE: Circa 1910.

SIZE: Approximately 1" in height x 5/8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold with red, white and blue enameling and red cloth background inserted behind the 23.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with Tiffany type open C catch.

MARKINGS: N/A.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. RAJX95 LAAEX7/10 SLBDEX10/17/25

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): Crest shows some small spots of wear on white enamel and has a beautiful lustre.
