ARTIFACT: This is a great circa 1900 badge for the Past Commander of the United States Army 5th Cavalry Veterans' Association. The badge was presented to veterans of the Civil War, Indian Wars, and Spanish-American War. The badge is by Robbins Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts, and is engraved with the recipient's name on reverse. It is octagonal and hangs beneath a bar the reads PAST COMMANDER.

VINTAGE: Circa 1900.

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/4" in height by 1-13/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin on bar with drop-in locking swivel catch, link chains.

MARKINGS: JACOB KRUEGER; ROBBINS CO. ATTLEBORO.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The badge shows some light wear and tarnish.
