Circa 1900 Kutani Japanese Porcelain Plum Blossom Jar

This is a circa 1900 Kutani porcelain plum blossom jar. The vessel is in soothing hues of orange with subtle gilt details on many of the flowers. The two Japanese characters that make up the word Kutani (marked on bottom) stand for "nine" and "valley".

Approximately 6-7/8" in height by 6" in diameter.
