This is a circa 1890s Newton, New Hampshire Special Police badge. The badge has an interesting, not-quite-oval shape and several stamped embellishments. Newton is located in the Granite State's Rockingham County.
VINTAGE:Circa 1890's.
SIZE:About 2-7/16" in width by 1-13/16" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Nickel-plated brass with black painted lettering.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal kick pin with a "C" catch.
MARKINGS:None.
