Circa 1880s-1890s "Thumbnail" Fire Badge from N. F. Fire Dept. Hose #1

This is a circa 1880s-1890s "thumbnail" fire badge from N. F. Fire Department Hose #The badge has a wonderful cut-out design with a number one at center detailed with a scrolling design. The badge also has a delicate border and detailing around the cut-out, and the initials J.E.B. are engraved on the front.

Circa 1880s-1890s.

1-1/4" height and 15/16" width.

Gold-plated.

Vertical kick pin with "C" catch.

6 (Fine+): Badge has had moderate wear and has some areas where gold plating is completely gone.
