ca1946 Lapel Pin for Air Line Stewards and Stewardesses Assoc. (ALSSA)

This is a lapel pin for the Air Line Stewards and Stewardesses Association (ALSSA), which formed in 1946 as part of the still active Air Line Pilots Association. ALSSA merged with the all female ALSA in 1949 and then changed its name to Association of Flight Attendants in 197The pin is a petite wing with a globe at its center bearing the letters ALSSA.

Circa 1946.

Approximately 1/4" in height and 3/4" in width.

Plated brass.

Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

Union mark.
