Description
This is a beautiful signed circa Chinese redware vase dating to the first half of 20th century. The vase shows a goddess seated upon a roc, a mythical bird. The vase is cylindrical and comes with a separate carved wooden stand. The details are very fine and the overall scene is quite elaborate.
VINTAGE:Circa first half of 20th century.
SIZE:Vase only: approximately 10-3/4" in height and 6" in diameter; stand: approximately 1-3/4" in height and 7-3/8" in diameter.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Redware pottery, wood stand.
ATTACHMENT:Separate stand.
MARKINGS:Signed on bottom of vase; MADE IN HONG KONG 6" label on inside of stand.
