ARTIFACT:
This is a circa 1980 Las Vegas Metropolitan Police officer's short-sleeved shirt. The shirt has the names of two officers written inside who both wore it in the line of duty: an Officer Freeman first apparently in May of 1982 and then an Officer Nelson. The shirt has an interior tag stating that it is approved for wear by the California Highway Police, or CHP. It is in gabardine wool with two embroidered shoulder patches. This shirt has no size tag but runs quite large: please see measurements below.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1980.
SIZE:
Approximately 24-1/2" from armpit to armpit; 33-3/4" length from center of back collar to hem; 20-3/4" from shoulder to shoulder along back; 9" from shoulder seam to end of cuff".
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gabardine wool, fully embroidered patches in cotton/polyester threads.

Buttons.

Conqueror manufacturer label; FREEMAN (crossed out) 5/82 NELSON written inside; hard to read name/initials written inside collar; CHP label.
