Description
Great Old West 1910's Deputy Sheriff six point star "stock" badge. The ball-tipped badge is slightly convex and reads: "DEPUTY SHERIFF" with black detail in the lettering and shows a nice decorative stamp at the center.
These badges came out of an old collection put together by a collector from Kansas, now deceased. As the bulk of his collection was Kansas and Colorado, it can be safely assumed that these badges were indeed worn in the Old West of their particular vintage, although I do not know exactly where any were used or collected. Please see links below for other badges from this collection.
