This is a great circa 1890s "stock" Fish and Game Warden badge. This one came from Maine, where it was reportedly worn. I have also heard of this type of badge being worn in other states. The badge is shield-shaped and has a large brass kick pin.
VINTAGE:Circa 1890s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-1/16" in height and 1-3/4" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical brass kick pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
