ARTIFACT:

This is a Brunswick Hussar Busby helmet badge & 100th Anniversary medal.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1909.

SIZE:

Hat Badge: About 2" in width by 1-7/8" in height; Medal: About 1-3/8" in diameter, with ribbon 2-1/4" in height.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Hat Badge: Silver-plated bronze; Medal: Bronze with silk ribbon.

ATTACHMENT:

Hat Badge: Vertical pin with a "C" catch; Medal: Horizontal safety-style pin with a "C" catch.

MARKINGS:

None.

CONDITION:

7- (Very Fine-): Hat badge has moderate wear and some tarnishing; medal is in good shape but ribbon is moderatley worn and frayed on edges.
