Description
Unidentified beautiful large sterling silver WWII badge from Naval Air Training Center Pensacola, Florida. The enameled badge features an aviation chick attempting to take flight from the water, he is wearing a flight helmet and goggles. Surrounding the center is a wreath joined together at the base with a yellow bow with the letters: "P and S" on each side of the bow. The outer edge of the badge reads: N. A. T. C. PENSACOLA FLA in embossed lettering. "PS"? Pilot Solo? Pistol Sharpshooter? Patrol Seaplane? The badge has two holes at the base, at one point there may have been a medallion suspended from the badge, or perhaps the holes were used to sew the badge onto clothing securely.
