Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an exquisite jeweler-made graduation pin tested 14 karat gold for an unknown institution. The front of the pin reads H.P.P.A., and is possibly for an academy. The pin has the look of a modified sextant, and is named to Sarah T. Brackett and dated on reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1863.

SIZE:

Approximately 1-5/16" in height and 15/16" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

14 karat gold (tested), enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Diagonal T-style pin with C catch.

MARKINGS:

Sarah T. Brackett Class '63.

ITEM NOTES:
