Description
This is an unidentified sterling silver badge by Whitehead & Hoag reading EXPERT from World War II. The badge is possibly for para-bomb proficiency, as it shows a parachute enameled in red guiding a missile (enameled in a honey color). The badge has several decorative flourishes, not entirely typical for a military badge.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:About 5/8 in width by 1-3/16" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:WH (Whitehead & Hoag) maker's mark, STERLING.
