ARTIFACT: This is an unidentified Chinese tiger plaque in etched and painted marble. It came to us along with a United States 14th Air Force veteran's grouping: the 14th went to Taiwan in the 1970s. The plaque shows an angry tiger atop a promontory, and has some Chinese characters etched upon it. It comes with a folding bamboo holder, and was made in Taiwan.

VINTAGE: Circa 1970s.

SIZE: Plaque: approximately 6-1/8" in diameter and 3/8" in thickness; holder: about 5-1/2" tall.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Etched marble, bamboo, brass.

ATTACHMENT: Folding holder.

MARKINGS: FINE MARBLE MADE IN TAIWAN REPUBLIC OF CHINA on sticker.

ITEM NOTES: This is from an accumulation of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. VAX10 LX5/13

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The plaque has one small chip on its edge.
