ARTIFACT: This is an unidentified aircraft instrument of unknown vintage by Pioneer Instrument. Initially named Pioneer Instrument Company in 191, nine years later the company became a division of Bendix Aviation and then became Eclipse-Pioneer in 1943. The instrument reads AIR SPEED M.P.H. PIONEER on its face and is labeled an "Autosyn Indicator" on reverse.

VINTAGE: Circa unknown.

SIZE: Approximately 3-1/4" square and 3-1/2" in depth.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Glass, steel, brass.

ATTACHMENT: Screws, nuts.

MARKINGS: PIONEER REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. on face; 5915-77A-A (Type No.) 49 520 (Serial No.), other info, PIONEER INSTRUMENT BENDIX AVIATION CORPORATION PHILADELPHIA DIVISION PHILADELPHIA; OK 9/16/50 written on side; PL-118 on reverse; P and another stamp on ring at back of face.

ITEM NOTES: The instrument you receive will either be the one pictured or one with different markings. This is from an accumulation of unidentified items which we will be listing more of over the next few months. Item will not be sold until it is identified. STORE LX8/12
