Description

ARTIFACT:

This is an unidentified Japanese-made jacket or pocket patch from the 1960s. The patch reads ID WORDEN REQUIESCAT IN PACE (let Worden rest in peace). The patch may have a connection to the guided missile cruiser USS Worden DCG-18, whose motto was ID WORDEN FIAT SI (let Worden do it).

VINTAGE:

Circa 1960s.

SIZE:

Approximately 4-1/4" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Fully embroidered in polyester threads.
