ARTIFACT: Beautiful WWII US Forces Aviators' sunglasses in issue case by Bausch & Lomb. The glasses feature a light green tinted lens with celluloid nose pads and wrapped bridge, the bridge also reads: "BAUSCH & LOMB" on the underside. The aluminum case is lined with cream woven wool felt and marked "B&L MADE IN THE U.S.A."

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately Case: 6" x 2-7/8"; Glasses: 6-1/2" x 5"; Lenses: 6-1/2" x 2-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Tinted lens, aluminum, woven wool felt, celluloid

ATTACHMENT: N/A; Hinged lid on case with tension tab lock

MARKINGS: "B&L MADE IN THE U.S.A.", "BAUSCH & LOMB"

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine—Excellent): The sunglasses shows minor wear, lenses are in remarkable condition, case shows moderate wear and some color stains on the interior, overall very fine condition.
