ARTIFACT:
This is a beautiful sterling silver "issue" World War II United States Army Air Forces technical observer wing. The wing comes to us from the ex-collection of Duncan Campbell. The wing is in sterling silver and comes on its original card with a copy of the receipt! VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
Wing: approximately 7/8" in height and 3-1/8" in width; card: 1-5/16" by 3-1/4".
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:
Sterling silver, cardboard.
ATTACHMENT:
Two short posts with clutch back catches.
MARKINGS:
STERLING on reverse of wing; STERLING NO MAKER WWII written on back of card.

CONDITION:
8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing is in beautiful shape with only very small spots of light wear.
