Beautiful WWII Beechcraft Bee Disney Designed Beechcraft Aviation Gilt Sterling 5 Year Service Pin

ARTIFACT: This is a beautiful World War II Disney-designed "Beechcraft Bee" badge for Beechcraft Aviation Company. Although no year number is present, these pins are most likely wartime long-service awards, as they exist in both silver (which would be for 1 year of service) and gold colors. Shaped like a beech leaf, the badge shows a bee at center wearing the Beechcraft “B” on his shoulder and wielding many tools. The badge is in enameled gilt sterling silver.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 1-3/8” height and 15/16” width.

CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS: Gilt sterling silver with enamel.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS: MACO ROCH. NY STERLING.
