This is a beautiful example of an extremely rare World War I United States Air Service pilot wing. The wing is one of only five known, but of only three known with this configuration of findings and markings on the reverse. It is in sterling silver with a 14 karat gold "US" upon its crest.
Circa World War I.
Approximately 7/8" in height and 3-1/16" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Sterling silver with 14 karat gold.
Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.
